God is Light!
One of the most fundamental Truths that religion and the world gets wrong… “who God is” and “what God does”. If our believing is erroneous on this most important aspect of the spiritual walk, then we will have no power! Religion has only confused people…and puts it all on God….and when bad things happen, they say “it was God’s will, you just have to accept it.” or when someone is going through a challenging time, they may say, “God is testing you”…”we can’t understand the ways of God”…”just take it by faith”…”the Lord gives, and the Lord takes away”…. I am here to say that is Wrong! ERROR! That is not my God! That is NOT Truth! We must understand God’s Word, and believe what it says….GOD IS LIGHT!
If we are ignorant of our spiritual adversary who is called the “god of this world”….the one who “steals, and kills, and destroys”, then we will not be able to stand against his methods and objectives as he systematically breaks us down through unbelief and devours us. He is the one responsible for all the negatives in life. He steals, he kills he destroys…. our health, our finances, our relationships, our dreams, our minds, the quality of life, and our knowledge of Truth. He does it by keeping us distracted and by promoting lies! That’s why it is imperative that we continue to go to God’s Word (Truth) as our only standard for living life, and living the more abundant life!
We must look at life as a spiritual competition. It is Light vs Darkness. Light and Darkness cannot co-exist. Where there is light, darkness has to flee! Darkness cannot overcome Light! Walk into a dark room, turn the light on, and where did the darkness go? it fled. It’s the same in our lives….God’s Word is Light, and as we continue to focus on His Word, the Darkness (negatives) in our lives will disappear. Therefore, if God is light, then He cannot have any darkness in Him.
God is Light…Our adversary is Darkness.
It’s Amazing how clear God’s Word is and yet so many people still don’t get it… God is Light! And we should learn to walk in the Light!
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. I John 1:5
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. II Corinthians 4:4
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. I Peter 5:8
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (methods) of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:11, 12
God’s Word (full armor) is what we need to put on in our minds and hearts to equip us and protect us and advance us. We will focus on building our understanding of knowing the difference between light and darkness.
